Graduate Student Fellowship Policy & Procedures

July 2020 fellowship requests should be submitted no later than Friday, July 17, 2020 to meet the August 1, 2020 payment date.

As a reminder, submit requests to the Graduate Division through the Financial Support Request Tool (Student DB: https://student-db.grad.ucsd.edu/ under “Apps”)

• We will continue to use the Financial Support Request Tool to process fellowship stipends and fee payments for AY 2020-2021.
• If you are requesting that a stipend payment be made on a previously unused fund source, you should assume that a minimum of at least one (1) additional week is needed to process your request.
• As a reminder, international student stipends should no longer be entered into any payroll system, they only need to be entered into the Financial Support Request Tool. These students will need to complete a Glacier record for taxation purposes.

We would greatly appreciate if you could keep in mind the following:

• In order to ensure that graduate stipends are received by students on the first of the month as expected, please submit your requests no later than the deadline stated above. 
• Note: You may access your monthly stipend report online at: https://student-db.grad.ucsd.edu/
• If you have questions regarding a stipend payment fund source and/or amount, please double-check the Financial Support Request Tool to verify the actual request before following up with the Financial Support Unit.

All of the above dates assume the appropriate input deadlines have been met.
