SAH-AR Project: BIA is on-schedule for our SAH-AR releases. SAH-AR Phase 2 has been released as part of the SAH May release. AR data must be loaded into TSS prior to BIA adding the same AR data from TSS into SAH-AR. Phase 3 has begun as BIA works with the TSS and AR teams to identify how AR data flows through TSS. Our goal is to map the TSS AR data into the existing SAH-AR views as much as possible so that report users experience minimal disruptions. We will also share documentation around any business processes that are changing between ISIS and TSS to help our users understand why they may see different data between ISIS and TSS. The TSS and AR teams have been great to work with and we appreciate the collaboration.
June 10 2026 - SAH Prod for TSS CUT-562
BIA will push TSS related enhancements to Hana Production on June 10.
View Impact Per Release.xlsx* has been updated for some of the specialty views.

SAH Impacts
First TSS Data in SAH for TSS CUT-293: Key Take-aways
Now that we’ve gotten the first round of TSS data rolled out, we wanted to share some key takeaways and reminders.
Reporting in SAH will reflect the data available in each source system.
The data from TSS may include details for the upcoming FA26 term but may show “null” values for historic terms. This reflects what’s in TSS.
Batch migrations move specific “buckets” of data—Application/Demographics, Course/Class Section/Schedule, Academic History, and Accounts Receivable—into TSS. The scope of each bucket depends on how TSS groups the data, which often differs from the way we think about it internally. Consequently, some fields (e.g. Major, Admit Major, College, etc.) may be in a different batch or "bucket" than our ISIS-trained understanding may put it. For questions about TSS batch migrations please email esr-student@ucsd.edu to reach the TSS team.
Starting with the Fall 2026 term, TSS becomes the official SIS. So, processes for FA26 are getting up and running in TSS, sometimes ahead of the historic data migrations. This means that fields like “College” or “Admit College” may be available on the Fall 2026 TSS row for a student long before they’ll be available in TSS for that student's historic terms
TSS Data in SAH for TSS CUT-562: Key Take-aways
Now that we’ve gotten the second round of TSS data rolled out, we wanted to share some key takeaways and reminders.
If BIA doesn't get a look at the data before developers do, more issues will be found during UAT. Normally BIA takes a first look at the data so you see far less issues. For this project we are sharing the TSS prod data as soon as we have it, which means you are finding more issues than a normal UAT period.
A minimum of 2 weeks for UAT is required.
The Prod release will be dependent on when critical UAT issues are resolved.
UAT feedback is critical and the earlier BIA gets UAT feedback, the earlier BIA can resolve the issue and go to prod.
Data Moving into TSS
Students enrolled during the last 10 years will be moved into TSS, along with all of the data about them. Additional exceptions will also be moved.
All students in ISIS that meet the minimum requirements (getting details) will get a TSS Student Number.
Students with enrollments in Fall 2016 or after will also have their full academic history added to TSS.
New Students Reminder
Students do not appear in the SAH Core views (like SAH-Demographics-View and SAH-StudentStatusPerTerm-View) until they accept their admissions offer for the current or future term and enrolled in a class section.
New Fields in TSS
New data fields added to TSS will mainly be released as part of a future release in SAH, but exceptions will be made based on campus need and resource availability.
ISIS and TSS Data in SAH Currently SAH includes all student data from the beginning of time from ISIS. New data from TSS will be added to SAH as TSS is loaded.
ISIS data is being loaded into TSS over a number of months. BIA requires at least 1 month of validation and testing between when the data is loaded to TSS and when that same data is available in SAH production. Therefore, data you see in TSS will not be available in SAH immediately.
Once all mapped data from TSS is available in SAH our nightly data loads will begin and you will see data in SAH the day after it is entered into TSS.
Data Changes between ISIS and TSS
BIA is working closely with the TSS development team to identify what SAH fields will be impacted by business process changes between ISIS and TSS. As we get further into the project the BIA team will make available the list of fields that will be impacted, what the ISIS values in that field are and what the TSS values will be so that report developers / data integration developers using the impacted fields in their filters can adjust their reports / column group calls.
At this time we are aware of value changes related to:
Subject Code and Course Name = Link to cross-walk coming soon
College Code = Link to cross-walk coming soon
Major Code, Major Name =
Instructor Info: Majors and Minors
Applicant Type Code (SAH-APP views only) = will be formatted as a 2 digit string in TSS, currently is up to 4 digits, link to cross-walk coming soon
Course ID = ISIS format is XXX###, TSS format is XXX-###.
Class Section Number =
Calendars
ISIS used 1 calendar, TSS supports multiple calendars. Term information in SAH will display the calendar associated with the corresponding student level for student-related terms. SAH will display the calendar associated with the corresponding course level for course-related terms.
Term ID = Will not exist in TSS, will be formatted in SAH as YYYY-###-AAA representing the AcademicYear-TermSession-AcademicCalendarCode
Term Code = ISIS Term Codes will remain 4-digits in SAH. TSS supports a 5-digit Term Code and some calendars will be using this.
2026 Examples: The School of Medicine calendar has Fall Session 1 as FA126. Undergraduate calendar has Summer Session 1 as SU126.
Term Names = TSS Term names are longer and more detailed.
For more information about the calendars in TSS please email esr-student@ucsd.edu .
Registration Status
In ISIS the Registration Status field displayed “Enrolled” when a student had signed up for a class section per term and “Registered” when that student had paid for class. This field is used my many departments as their definition of an “active” student. While TSS has the same business processes, there is no central field to contain an indicator of both actions.
BIA is partnering with the TSS project team and the Registrar’s Office to identify TSS equivalents to the data that is available in Registration Status. We understand how important this field is to UCSD and will provide additional information as early as we can.
Fields Going Null / Stale
BIA is aware that some of the process improvements will result in ISIS fields being retired. Because SAH will retain ISIS history, these ‘retired’ fields will display data in rows where SIS Data Source = ISIS but blanks for row where SIS Data Source = TSS.
To see a list of fields going null see View Impact Per Release.xlsx > 'Not in TSS' tab.
BIA will add SAH fields to this list as we learn more about TSS.
SAH Field Names
There is no intent to change SAH field names. Only the content that the field displays will be changing in the TSS row.
Student PID
The current plan is to display the TSS Student Number in the field named “Student PID” when the student enrolls in TSS. There will be two new fields in SAH to provide the TSS Student Number and the ISIS Student PID.
Student Name | SIS Data Source | Student PID (depends on SIS Data Source) | Legacy Student PID (from ISIS) | TSS Student Number (from TSS) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Mouse, Mickey | ISIS | A45678901 | A45678901 | 200030123 |
Mouse, Mickey | TSS | 200030123 | A45678901 | 200030123 |
White, Snow Graduated in 1970 | A00000100 | A00000100 | Null |
|
Heart, Raya First time first year student starting Fall 2026 | TSS | 200030245 | Null | 200030245 |
Waitlist Data
Currently live waitlist data is available in SAH. With the move to TSS, live waitlist data will only be available in TSS. SAH will capture a nightly status of the wait list per class section, which will correspond to the nightly enrollment update. Anyone looking for live, up to the minute waitlist information will need to go to TSS directly.
Data Warehouse and Querylink
The Data Warehouse will remain available with historical information but no new data will flow into the DW.
Querylink reports will be retired. Those reports will be moved to bah.ucsd.edu prior to Querylink being retired. Some are there already. For more information go to Report Development .
Data Integration
Data integration developers should expect column group specific updates to be shared via the Data Integration Developers google mail list.
The addition of new fields to SAH views in order to support column groups is in a freeze for 2026. Data integration developers who need fields not available from SAH should open a SNOW ticket to request support from ITS-ADIS.
To find out if your fields are in a SAH column group please use https://ucsdcollab.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AH/pages/12487881 .
Surprise, Surprise
COMPLETE: FYI: Graduate application will not be added to TSS until later in 2026. The grad applications should flow into SAH at that time.
Growing risk for SAH issues: It has been identified that some TSS users have the ability to delete applications even though the business process does not include deleting applications. SAH was not anticipating application deletions so SAH will be showing both the deleted record and the remaining record until we are able to enhance SAH to match the TSS deletes in May. 6/11/26 Update - Deleted records continue to be an unexpected issue, BIA has escalated deleted Course/Class Section records to the TSS team.
Medium risk for SAH issues: Multiple TSS accounts for a single student has been identified. The merge process is currently in discussion. Until the merge process has been completed, SAH will display all TSS accounts for a student, each will have a unique TSS Student Number. UPDATE 5/8: This issue has been isolated to 42 medical students.
Student history decision: The TSS Governance Committe has decided not to migrate student class section records for students who dropped the class section with no grade. TSS will display the student and their class section records if they did not drop with no grade. SAH will retain the ISIS record for the student class section drop with no grade.

Q&A
Q. When will TSS Student Number be available in SAH?
A. In end-February BIA will release sample data from TSS into Hana QA for SAH UAT. SAH users will be able to see the new format of the TSS Student Number. This data will remain in SAH UAT for a month. At the end of March we will migrate our enhancements to SAH Production on Hana Prod, at this time TSS production data will flow into SAH Prod.
Q. What will the TSS Student Number look like in SAH?
A. New fields will be added to SAH to help identify data from TSS. Students that exist in both ISIS and TSS will have one row per tool.
See SAH-TSS_What to Expect Pt1_20250123 for more information.
Student Name | SIS Data Source | Student PID (depends on SIS Data Source) | Legacy Student PID (from ISIS) | TSS Student Number (from TSS) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Mouse, Mickey | ISIS | A45678901 | A45678901 | 200030123 |
Mouse, Mickey | TSS | 200030123 | A45678901 | 200030123 |
Q: When are the FA26 incoming students available in SAH?
A. FA26 incoming student’s who have accepted their offer to UCSD will be available in SAH after the end of March 2026 as they appear in TSS.
Q: When will new Course ID’s be available in SAH?
A: In the April UAT / May Prod release.
SAH will display the Course ID information shortly after that information is finalized in TSS. This will be Course information without connections to students.
Update 5/15/26: Course ID’s for FA26 are now available in TSS and was added to SAH as part of the May TSS CUT-562 release.
Q: When will the FA26 Course information be available in SAH?
A: In the April UAT / May Prod release.
SAH will display the Course ID information shortly after that information is finalized in TSS. This will be Course information without connections to students.
Course information tied to student enrollments are expected to be available in the June UAT / July Prod release.
Update 5/15/26: Course ID’s for FA26 are now available in TSS and was added to SAH as part of the May TSS CUT-562 release.
Q: When will Instructor IDs (UCPath IDs) be available in SAH?
A: UCPath IDs for Instructors are currently available in SAH. The field name and contents are not expected to change at this time. If TSS creates a new ID/Number for the Instructor then SAH will be enhanced with a new field to match.
Update 5/15/26: TSS will be using the UCPath Employee ID as the Instructor ID.
Q: For February, do we need to request the Column Groups be updated with the metadata fields?
A: No, the column groups impacted by the Views listed in the February release above will automatically be updated with the metadata fields: SIS Data Source, Legacy Student PID and TSS Student Number. Just like the Cognos packages and Tableau data sources.
Q: When will we see the TSS Student Number in other Activity Hubs?
A: That depends on the Activity Hub and the source of the data.
In EAH and FACAH the Identity Student PID comes from the Affiliates table, which is a cross-walk for a variety of ID's for persons across campus. The Affiliates table will be adding a TSS Student Number, which will allow us to add an Identity TSS Student Number to EAH and FACAH. In EAH-PersonTraining-View we do display the Student PID from ISIS, BIA will convert that field to the TSS Student Number once we get a chance to repoint it - the exact timeing is TBD for now.
In FINAH we are displaying the value seen in Oracle and will continue to do so. When Oracle displays the TSS Student Number in the Student PID field in FINAH the day after.
Q: Clinical Residents are not in ISIS but are in SAH. Will they be in TSS?
A: No. At this time Clinical Residents will not be loaded into TSS. SAH will continue to display Clinical Resident information include populating the same value into Student PID, Legacy Student PID and TSS Student Number for each Clinical Resident.
Q: What if TSS doesn’t match ISIS?
A: That depends, is it supposed to? Email esr-student@ucsd.edu with specific questions, but there are multiple reasons why TSS doesn’t match ISIS.
ISIS data hasn’t been migrated yet or will not be migrated to TSS.
ISIS data was migrated as a new value or format.
Student or UCSD staff have updated the data in TSS. Updates in TSS will not be duplicated in ISIS.
Q: What will the new Term ID values look like?
A: Term ID does not exist in TSS so SAH will be creating this value based on AcademicYear-TermSession-AcademicCalendarCode.
Term ID from ISIS will remain the same four digit code.
