BIA’s goal for FINAH is to match Oracle. |
Tableau reports on non-Activity Hub | Interim Solution - Adding Data to Cognos or Tableau | Tableau Process Report developers can create their own Tableau data sources for non-Activity Hub data sets. See the link above for the process. |
Data Dictionary | The Data Dictionary assistant looks at (1) the data dictionary (Activity Hub field names and definitions), then (2) Quick Start Guides and then (3) Collab pages under the Analytics Community of Practice. Ask it all kinds of things! |
Cognos Questions | Q: And what are the differences between using the full path vs partial.... impacts the order things are calculated right? A: Using the partial path is required if you are doing any calculations in the data item. Beyond that, we haven’t noticed any processing improvements between using the full path or partial path in reports. |
Cognos Question | Q: are the filters applied before the "for ____"? A: It depends on the filter setting. If the filter is set to ‘before aggregation’ then the filter will be applied first. If the filter is set to ‘after aggregation’ then the filter will be applied last, after all the data item calculations. |
