During the summer, 100% employment is allowed (depending on the student’s Academic Department's support policy) if the student is registered full time for the Spring Quarter prior and/or intends to enroll full time in the upcoming Fall quarter and meets all other eligibility criteria.

...

An international student (F-1 or J-1 visa) can only be employed as a student employee through the date of program completion. Program completion is the last day of the quarter in which the student is registered AND defends their dissertation/thesis (if Ph.D. student) or takes a comprehensive exam (if Master’s student). 17-06/30, where it looks like the student is employed at 150% is okay because the Service Period for Teaching Assistants ends on the Quarter End Date.  The student's effort is not exceeding 100%.

The student is eligible for Spring fee remission, so the GSR appointment will be charged fee remission proportionally and thus a GSRTF job code must be used.
