ITS-PRO aka JIRA and Collab aka Confluence both leverage Active Directory for authentication. Members of ITS-Staff AD group have access to all Confluence content in Collab that has not been restricted by a space administrator. Members of ITS-All have access to pretty much all JIRA projects in ITS-PRO. Check out the step by step guide below if you would like to invite someone outside of ITS to collaborate in these two awesome applications or if you are having trouble accessing information in either Collab or ITS-PRO.

Step-by-step guide for getting access to ITS-PRO and Collab

Inviting people outside ITS to use ITS-PRO or Collab

  1. Try sharing a collab page or assigning ITS-PRO task to someone outside of ITS you want to collaborate with.
  2. If the person you want to collaborate is not showing up in the search results for sharing the collab page or assigning a ITS PRO task, please send an email to ITS-PRO@ucsd.edu with names of people you want to work with in either application. If the people are outside of UCSD i.e. UCOP or a Vendor, please also be sure to include the person's email address.

Members of ITS who may be having trouble accessing ITS-PRO or Collab

  1. Try logging into collab.ucsd.edu and ITS-PRO.ucsd.edu using your AD credentials
  2. If you are unable to log in either application, please send an email to ITS-PRO@ucsd.edu

We understand this process for getting others outside of ITS plugged into ITS PRO and Collab is a bit manual at the moment. We hope to automate this in the future and let you personally invite anyone you need to collaborate with directly from these applications. In the meantime, we will try to make sure all access request get fulfilled within one business day.
