Connecting the the Admin share from a Mac

Connecting to the Admin Share drive.


Before connecting to the admin share make sure you are connected to campus's VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Information on how to install and setup VPN.



  1.  In the menu bar at the top of your mac desktop select  Go and click on Connect to Server at the bottom of the populated list.




     2.  A new box will appear:  In the empty box type:  smb://bioadminfs.ucsd.edu/admin_share



Click connect. 

A box will appear asking for your username and password.  Enter your AD username and password.

The drive should connect with a list of folders you have access to.
