Video Files
As we migrate to Confluence Cloud, we are limited to 250GB of space for our entire instance. We are currently over that limit but have identified that Zoom (.mp4) recordings takes up the most storage. Removing video files from our current instance will free up valuable storage space. Luckily, UCSD has a better option for hosting media files:
Kaltura MediaSpace
UCSD offers Kaltura as a free media server with unlimited space and file limits. While it was originally designed to host videos for the Canvas LMS, anyone with a UCSD AD account can upload and share videos. We've also set up an integration so that any Zoom meeting recording to the cloud will automatically show up in Kaltura under the Zoom host's "My Media". Videos will be stored permanently as long as they are viewed at least once every 4 years. Once videos are captured in Kaltura, you can share individual links or create channels and playlists for categories of content.

Clean-up process
If you have uploaded video files to your collab space, please delete them. If they are still needed, log into https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu to see if they show up under "My Media" (if you hosted the meeting). If you didn't host the meeting, check with the host and arrange for the videos to be shared with the proper audience via a direct link to a video or playlist.
If you are a space admin, you can go to Space tools→Content Tools in the lower left-hand corner of the page and select Attachments to see a list of all attachments in your space. You can sort by Size to see the largest files and what content they are attached to. If you aren't a space admin and need help finding your attachments, contact the project team. We will also be reaching out to project managers/space admins with a large amount of video files.
Note: Attachments are automatically copied over when you copy a page unless you uncheck "Include attached files and images" when you copy the page:
However, the page copy is just a pointer to the original file. To delete the original file, you'll need to find it on the original page or on the Attachments list.
