UC-HBCU Initiative
UC-HBCU Initiative
Overview
The initiative seeks to improve diversity and strengthen UC graduate programs by investing in relationships between UC faculty and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The UC-HBCU does not preclude employment. If a student becomes eligible for fee remission, fee remission will cover the tuition/fee charges accordingly.
Two-part Initiative
- Faculty grant program to establish partnerships with HBCUs
- Doctoral student fellowships for past participants in UC-HBCU grant programs
