Broken Links Review for Champions (without CMS Access)
For each item reported to you,
Click the "Broken Link" to verify it leads to a broken page.
If the link is indeed broken, follow the steps in Options to Correct Broken Links
If the link does not appear broken:
Verify the link. Check to see if the URL in the report is the same URL in your browser address bar.
If the URL is different, follow the steps in Options to Correct Broken Links. The linked site has used a redirect. Verify that the page content on the other site is still the intended resource that we want to direct Users to and that it is safe.
If the URL is the same, select status:false flag in the "Review Status" column. False flags occur for various reasons, such as temporary unavailability while the report was generated or a required login/subscription (which you might have access to on VPN but is not accessible to the public).
Options to Correct Broken Links
There are two options for broken link correction:
Correct the URL
Select status:new url is provided in the “Review Status” Column
Provide the new URL in the “Corrected URL” Column
OR remove the link
Select status:remove in the “Review Status” Column
Indicate whether to remove text. If there’s associated text that still provides value even without the link, write status:keep text in the “Corrected URL” Column.
