Events
Policies related to event promotion
- Posting Events — Information on what kind of events are posted on the website, for how long, and which events get priority. Includes information about the Biological Sciences Event Portal and adding events to the portal.
- Resources for Presenters — Resources for faculty and staff to create posters, flyers, and other media, in order to publicize their events. The Division does not have internal resources for creating promotional materials for lectures and events. Here are several on-campus services that can assist with creating promotional items such as flyers, posters, invitations, etc.

Content policies related to faculty
- Current Faculty — Information on updating current faculty profiles.
- Deceased Faculty — What to do in the event that a staff, student or faculty member passes away. Instructions on how to handle updating the website.
- Departing Faculty — Instructions on how to deal with faculty when they leave Biology/UCSD and what needs to be updated on the website. Includes possible extra steps in the case of special accommodations and possible reasons for departure.
- Emeriti — Policies on handling information for active and inactive emeriti faculty and Minimum Viable Profile (MVP) elements.
- New Faculty Web Startup — Information on creating faculty profiles for new faculty. Includes instructions on what is needed for faculty profiles, creating lab websites, and email templates to use when contacting the new faculty member.

- Submission Guidelines — Policies for submitting items for news release (e.g. awards announcements, research news) to the web office.
Research
Policies relevant to research content
- Select Publications — Information on how select publications are chosen, by who, and how often they are updated. Explains the workflow in adding a select publication by a faculty member and updating the list of publications with COC and relevant staff.
