Domestic vs. International Applicants

On this page, we will go over how to use the “Citizenship Status” and “Visa Type” filters to help you query for Domestic vs International Applicants.

Domestic Applicants

In your query, click on Filter to add a filter. Select the filter called Citizenship Status and click Continue.

In the next box, select both US Citizen and Permanent Resident by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while you click. Click Save and New to save this filter and begin your next filter.

The next filter you will add is Visa Type. You may search for this in the Search bar at the top. Click Continue.

In the next pop-up box, select the following options:

  • AM - Amnesty

  • AP - Approved Petition

  • AS - Asylee

  • PR - Permanent Resident

  • RF - Refugee

  • Other

Click Save.

You will be brought back to the main Query page. Be sure to drag the OR option and parentheses from the filter tools into the filters that you have created. If you would like to only query for applicants that have submitted and paid, you may further narrow this down as well by adding in more filters.

International Applicants

The process to filter for International Applicants is slightly different. You are still going to choose "Citizenship Status" and "Visa Type" for your filter options. However, for the "Citizenship Type" you will choose "Foreign National."

For "Visa Type," select all options except the following:

  • AM - Amnesty

  • AP - Approved Petition

  • AS - Asylee

  • PR - Permanent Resident

  • RF - Refugee

  • Other

After saving the "Visa Type" filter, drag the OR option and parentheses from the filter tools into the filters that you have created. Again, you may also add additional filters.
