Oracle Guided Learning Roles and Responsibilities

Ana

  • Ashlyn has completed Content Developer Certification training and passed the test. Will send the certification once she is able to get into OGL without issue

  • Streamleads are responsible for determining the prioritization of guides for their area of oversight in collaboration with OGL program admin. and training team.

  • Testers do not need to go through OGL training, their roles is going to be focused on testing in Dev4 not in OGL

UCR Guides

Ana

  • UCR has shared all guidance published in their instance of OGL with us. please feel free to review and use an of the content as a starting point. You can find the list in the Guides section of our Finance Trainng & Guidance Collab space.

UCSD Guides

Ana

  • We have created one consolidated list to track all guides, this will keep us on track through all phases of implementation and aware of who is responsible for what.

  • When creating content, add (you name - status) to the end of the title of your guide for now. This is just a quick and easy way to identify developers at a birds eye view.

    • (Ashlyn) will you be creating display groups?

    • (Ana) Yes, I still need to do some work in OGL to get us organized and that is an item on my list.

  • Guides can be configured to show up based on user roles. Please refer to Applying Roles to Guides for more information.

    • (Kevin) I would prefer to have each guide indicate which role is required to follow the steps (noted!)

    • (Ana) If the guide starts on the home page, that won’t be an issue. If for example, the guide only applies to an accountant and there is a role that can be applied to only make the guide visible to an accountant, we can do that by following the steps above. This likely will not apply to most IPPS guides. We’ll explore this more as we become more familiar with OGL.

What is on your list and how are you prioritizing your Guides

Kacy/Ashlyn

  • Ashlyn will focus on creating all WalkMe guides for phase 1

    • Ashlyn will add the walkme list to the consolidate list of guides and remove or cross reference the KBA’s already listed

    • Lauryn will take on the KBA conversion to OGL guides and new guides

      • Lauryn will need to complete the training and obtain the Content Developer Certification before she begins. Do you want her to start now? She has access and can complete this anytime but needs to send me her certification so I can update her role in OGL.

Q&A

Open

  • (Kacy) what is the expected timeline for launch? As of now, I have been pushing towards and early January launch.

  • (Ana) as of now I am leaning towards February 14, but you should still operate under the assumption that we are launching in Januray. We need sufficient time to thoroughly test and refine our guides as well as resolve any potential issues/roadblocks along the way. This will also allow us to communicate and train campus prior to launch.
