Current PROD 

  • All records from ISIS and Med Hub (clinical residents).   

  • Includes records for admissions where the person never actually registered for classes. 

  • Historical to 2004 

New QA 

  • All records where (1) the person has ever had a registration status, been a clinical resident, or received a degree; or (2) a person has accepted their UCSD offer for the current or future term.

  • No historical filter.  All records from ISIS meeting the above condition are included. 

  • Fields used for underlying joins with SAH-StudentStatsPerTerm-View that have been marked ‘Hide Me’ will be removed as we implement a new logic. Report developers should not be impacted but Data Integration developers will need to update their column group calls.

  • Matching ISIS when ISIS has deleted information. Sometimes information gets deleted from ISIS without a notification to SAH. We call these “hidden deletes” and they are common across all data sources. SAH must be told which ISIS tables to check for these deleted records, then SAH can remove them from FCVs.

  • SLT dependencies for the views included in Phase1 and Phase2 will be removed. The SLT technology has proved to be unreliable and BIA is expecting to remove all dependencies on SLT by the end of Dev0.

ITS Validation of Changes

The BIA team with assistance from volunteers performed the following change validation:

  • All records were compared to SAH production, discrepancies were identified and either resolved or included in the changes above.

  • Stage 1 Validation: underlying views (BVs, CVs, IVS) will be validated and issues resolved.

  • Stage 2 Validation: customer facing views (FCVs) will be validated and issues resolved.

After BIA validation has been completed the FCVs will be made available to report developers for UAT.

Using Hana During Dev0 Phase2

Hana Prod will not be impacted by any Dev0 Phase2 work until the final step where we push the new code to Hana Prod.

Hana QA will be in flux as we test the Dev0 Phase2 enhancements. We do load production data to Hana QA on a daily basis but we do not anticipate it matching Hana Prod exactly.

Hana DEV is where the BIA team is actively building enhancements. We do not focus on keeping Hana DEV compatible with reports or data integrations while we are building.
