"As you may know, every campus and the UC Office of the President observe a certain number of curtailment days per year around the winter holidays." "...This program would expand the existing curtailment periods or add new curtailment periods as needed to achieve a minimum of five curtailment days at every UC location in fiscal year 2020-21."

Winter Break Thursday – Friday, December 24–25
New Year Holiday Thursday – Friday, December 31 – January 1
Campus Closure - Monday - Wed, December 28-30 (3 days mandatory vacation)

UCOP is discussing the standardization of 5 days across all UC campuses

Note: For the 2020 holiday season, the campus will be closed for seven (7) days between Thursday, December 24, 2020 and Friday, January 1, 2021.   The closure period includes four (4) University paid holidays (December 24, 25, 31, 2020 and January 1, 2021) and three (3) working days not covered by paid holidays (December 28, 29, and 30, 2020). 

Staff employees will need to charge any working days during the closure period not covered by paid holidays to accrued vacation, accrued compensatory time off (non-exempt staff only), or no pay.
