Collab cloud migration this weekend - known issues to be aware of

@Erin Kilburn , @Paul Krueger

Links to on prem still persist; will links to cloud replace?

New editing experience with new features; recommend updating to the new experience

All draft pages will also be migrated; assume that unpublished edits are the same

Watched pages should convert

Saved settings for notifications? @Paul Krueger

Recordings and links to onedrive will still work

5pm: Collab on prem will be read only

Roll back / no go: would continue to use on prem M

Cutover timeline? @Paul Krueger

SNOW and projects

@Gerrity, Christopher (Deactivated)

Discussion:

  • Anything to move away from email inboxes is positive

  • Benefit of SNOW, people are thinking about support from the beginning

    • Test driven development... support driven development

    • trains the teams that will be supporting the tool on SNOW, and the customers

  • In predecessor system, people could email an account, and it created a task in the project system - required fields have made this no longer possible in Jira

    • Benefit of this is that we can do TT right on the task

      • Possible to integrate the TT with SNOW?

  • Issue: changes getting overwritten in real time

  • Concern: too many communication applications

Share wins and cross functional impacts and challenges
