Equipment take home process | Kal | Dear ITS Colleagues, We have updated the guidelines regarding borrowing equipment and hardware from ITS. Effective immediately, staff members can now submit requests for their web cameras and office chairs. To do so, please follow the directions below. Discuss with your supervisor and gain approval Email servicedesk@ucsd.edu (and copy your supervisor) Put Remote Work Loaner in the subject line In the email body, note the items being taken home and ask for the ticket to be assigned to “ITS-laptoploaner” NEW Once you receive a response from the ticket, you are clear to take the identified to your home for remote work
Additional reminders: The above applies only to equipment from your assigned workstation, notfrom the "hotel" spaces Staff should under no circumstances take the curved monitors in TPCS – To request a regular monitor please follow the same directions above, and your case will be assigned to the ITS-Laptoploaner group All equipment that has been already taken, either with or without communication with your supervisor, will need to be logged following the process to submit a ticket to Service Desk When the period of mandatory remote work ends, equipment that has been borrowed will need to be brought back to the workspace Staff members are responsible for all moving logistics If you need to take other equipment home, discuss with your supervisor.
