Brainstorming Getting IPPS to hotel in San Diego

Future of the Lead Fellows

  • With retirements the Lead Fellow pipeline isn't stead for future recruitments
  • CFO Initiated Lead Fellows subcommittee is in place to review EDI resources at UCSD

Heather

Implicit Bias series 

    • EDI Committee can revisit the intention for the upcoming performance appraisal cycle
    • For this PA cycle supervisors will need to check in with their staff and hold an EDI discussion to see how the UC Learning content is going

  • Getting presentations on all of the resource centers around campus 
  • Patrick now leading IPPS Open Forum
  • UC Learning Implicit Bias Series
    • Is yearly effective?
    • Can there be an alterative option for supervisors?
      • Could we create a course for IPPS and present at a supervisors meeting?
      • Let's not reinvent the wheel
    • Mandatory course as it is on the PA Evaluation
      • If required annually there will be resistance/push back
      • Patrick Etienne to see if UCLearning can make this mandatory for all of IPPS like cyber security training
      • 6 total in the series; 15-20 Minutes each however time is limited
  • Accountability Report from CFO Pierre > new cycle starting soon
    • Outline initiatives that VC area is going to meet to reach strategic roles
    • Review to see how goals are met 
    • Will provide more input
  • Getting presentations on all of the resource centers around campus 
    • IPPS needs to utilize these spaces more 
      • we are disconnected from rest of campus
